With the wind blowing out hard to straightaway center at Thomas Nelson Wednesday, it looked like it might take double-digit runs to win the showdown for the top spot in the softball district seeding race between the Generals and Bethlehem.

    That includes golf clubs.

I’m not talking about a particular brand, but which club in your bag would you consider your favorite?

  • PREP SPORTS ROUNDUP: Cards’ late...

When Bardstown and Nelson County meet on the softball diamond these days, entertaining games seem to follow, including a pair of wild, back-and-forth games much like the teams’ last two meetings in the district tournament.

Monday was no exception, as the Cardinals rallied late to pull away from a one-run game to win 16-12.

The Cardinals (2-9) battered Tiger pitching to the tune of 17 hits while snapping a seven-game losing streak.
