    Jr. PGA league at Maywood

    Bardstown Country Club at Maywood is offering open enrollment in the Junior PGA league, allowing golfers a chance to play at Maywood and other courses without a membership or prior association with the course. The league is open to golfers ages 13 and under, and they will receive instruction from PGA and LPGA professionals. Registration is available online at PGAJrLeague.com for those interested.

    Bethlehem Banshees basketball camp

    Bethlehem girls’ basketball coach Jason Clark will host a camp for girls entering grades 3-8 for the 2018-19 school year. Camp is 6-7:30 p.m. June 4 -7. Cost is $50 per camper and each will receive a camp T-shirt. The camp will focus on individual skills and team competition, and there will be a camper of the week and other awards.     Charity golf scramble

    American Legion Post 288 in Bloomfield hosts its annual charity golf scramble Saturday, June 16, at Tanglewood Golf Course in Taylorsville. Cost is $60 per golfer or $240 per team, and play begins at 8 a.m., with late registration available at 7 a.m. Hole sponsorships are also available. Fees cover golf, cart, raffle ticket, special contests and team prizes, and a pig roast lunch. Call 507-1228 with questions or to register.

    NC girls’ soccer team meeting

    The Nelson County Cardinals girls’ soccer team will be meeting March 6 in the school library at 6 p.m. All current and new players are urged to attend. We will be discussing dates, the season, fundraising, camp, team needs and booster business.

    Tennis coaches’ clinic

    The Kentucky High School Tennis Coaches Association will be offering a coaches’ clinic on Saturday, Feb. 17, at the new tennis club in Nicholasville.     Kentucky Premier girls’ AAU tryouts

    Bardstown High School will be the site Feb. 4 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for the Kentucky Premier girls’ fourth-grade AAU tryouts. Last year’s team won seven tournament championships and finished with a record of 31-3. The team is coached by BHS girls’ coaches Amber and Brian Courtney. The tryout fee is $15 per participant. The contest is open to Nelson County boys and girls ages 9-14. Winners advance to district, regional and state competition. There is no entry fee to participate and walk-up registration the day of the contest is available. Call 331-9223 for more information.
