    Bardstown Church of God revival

    Bardstown Church of God, 3903 Louisville Road in Bardstown, will have a youth revival “Fanning the Flame,” Sunday, June 10. Logan Humes will deliver the message. Refreshments will be at 5 p.m. with the service at 6 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

  • Bardstown Garden Tour returns for 2018

    The 15th annual Blooming Bardstown Garden Tour will take place Saturday. The tour, hosted by the Kentucky Home Master Gardeners, will include a self-guided tour to various gardens throughout town and auctions.

    Nick Kipper, chairman for the garden tour event planning, said the event is a fundraiser for the organization itself, but the funds go towards community interactions and scholarships.

  • Flaget Memorial Hospital to host Women’s Health and Maternity Fair

    Flaget Memorial Hospital, part of KentuckyOne Health, will host a Women’s Health and Maternity Fair on Saturday, June 9, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will take place at Flaget Memorial Hospital, located at 4305 New Shepherdsville Road in Bardstown. 

  • Wine and Cheese sees another good year

    While hot, the sunny weather brought hundreds out to My Old Kentucky Home State Park Saturday evening for the Bardstown Rotary Club’s 43rd annual Wine and Cheese Tasting Festival. The evening allowed guests to mingle, sip on dozens of wines from across the country, bid on items for a live and silent auction, and more.

  • Kosair Dance Band will be swinging at the park this week

    The Kosair Shrine Dance Band will be the featured group at this week’s Edward Jones Summer Concert Series, co-sponsored by the Stephen Foster Music Club and the Bardstown Parks and Recreation Department. The series, now in its 16th season of free, family-oriented concerts, is held at Bardstown Community Park each Friday at 7 p.m. from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

    Nelson County Fiscal Court will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday, June 5.

    The next public Anatok meeting will be 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, at the Old Courthouse.

  • Sharing Spencer’s light

    Friends, family, classmates, neighbors and community members gathered Friday night at New Haven School to remember Spencer Dugger, a local boy who drowned over the Memorial Day weekend. He was just 10 years old, but his impact on those around him was great.

  • ‘Stand up for what you believe is right’

    Residents gathered at the Bardstown Cemetery Monday to honor fallen American veterans for the annual Memorial Day ceremony.

    Former state Rep. Jodie Haydon, a Vietnam veteran, served as the keynote speaker and urged the audience to honor the sacrifices of American veterans. Haydon said speaking up and standing for what is right is a way to honor our fallen veterans.
