Police transfer roofing shingles from a truck at the home of Brooks Houck to one driven by another officer Wednesday night. Houck was indicted by a Nelson County grand jury Wednesday on four felony counts for stealing shingles from Lowe’s in April. Police later executed a search warrant on his home where state police, federal agents, Bardstown Police and Nelson County Sheriff’s deputies all took part.
Brooks Houck indicted by grand jury

Brooks Houck, the man investigated for three years in connection to the disappearance of his former girlfriend, was indicted on four unrelated felonies Wednesday by a Nelson County grand jury.

Houck is accused of stealing squares of shingles from Lowe’s on three different days in April.

The grand jury returned four felony indictments and a misdemeanor charge. The four charges of theft by unlawful taking are Class D felonies punishable by up to five years in prison.
