  • Epperson promoted to Correctional Sergeant at Northpoint Center

    Andrew Epperson, Bardstown, was promoted to the position of Correctional Sergeant, on Nov. 1, 2010, at the Northpoint Training Center. The center is a medium security state prison in northern Boyle County. Epperson began his employment at the Northpoint Training Center as a Correctional Officer in October 1999.

  • Town & Country Bank top posts face shake-up

    Two days after a meeting of Town & Country Bank’s board of directors, two of its top corporate officers are no longer with the company.

    The regional banking company announced Thursday that CEO John Shropshire will retire Dec. 31 after seven years at the helm. According to a press release, Shropshire told Town & Country Bank’s board of directors about his plans to retire at its November meeting.

  • Kresos planning two new restaurants

    At 120 N. Third St., the wooden floors have been laid, the kitchen has been tiled and the back courtyard is ready for the installation of one of two new restaurants, which Kreso’s Family Restaurant owners Merima and Dzevad Kreso plan to open in the spring. Next door, a chandelier illuminates the iron railings and broad dining room of the Kresos’ future Italian restaurant, which Merima Kreso hopes will open by March 2011.

  • Koger promoted to Wilson & Muir vice-president

    Wilson & Muir Bank President Frank B. Wilson has announced that Loan Officer Shea B. Koger was promoted to Vice President at the institution’s January Board of Directors Meeting. “We are very proud, indeed, to make this announcement,” said Wilson. “Shea has done a remarkable job since joining Wilson & Muir in 1999, working her way from a loan clerk, mortgage loan processor, secondary mortgage loan originator to loan officer and now Vice President. We are very appreciative of her many contributions to the Bank’s success.”

    Town & Country Bank & Trust Co. Board of Directors promoted several team members at a meeting Dec. 18.

    •Will McGinnis has been promoted to Vice-President.

    McGinnis joined Town & Country Nov. 1, 2006 as a Finance Officer. He has more than 20 years experience with PNC Bank in areas such as budgeting, financial planning, cost accounting and acquisition analysis. He will oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.

    Anytime Fitness, the world’s first 24-hour fitness, tanning, and reciprocal membership franchise, will soon open in the Parkway Centre Mall behind Maywood Chevron and next to Parkway Baptist Church. A tentative opening has been set for the end of December.
