Thousands without power after ice storm

Close to 5,000 people were without power in and around Bardstown at the peak of the ice storm that swept through overnight Wednesday.

Before 10 a.m. Thursday, however, Eric Richter, the city’s electrical engineer, said his crews had restored power to about 1,000 customers and still had another 1,000 or so out.
