    Dave and Karen Pond, Bardstown, announce the engagement of their daughter, Carrie Pond, Knoxville, Tenn., to Charlie Adams, Knoxville, Tenn., son of Chuck and Marilu Adams, Beaver Dam.
    The bride-elect graduates in May 2012 with a law degree from UT Knoxville.
    The groom-elect is a software support specialist for Knox County School System.
    The wedding is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Oct. 29 at the home of the bride’s parents’ in Bardstown.
    The reception will follow at Blue Grass Entertainment & Exposition Complex.

    Shelly and Chad Eleson, Louisville, announce the birth of a son, Carson Landon, March 18, 2011, at Norton Suburban Hospital, Louisville. He weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces and was 20-1/2 inches long.
    Maternal grandparents are Bill and Sarah Devers, Bardstown. Paternal grandparents are Cleo and Jo’Dee Eleson, Louisville. Maternal great-grandparents are the late Joseph and Emily Mattingly and the late Chester and Alene Devers. Paternal great-grandparents are Dee Paulin, Louisville, and the late Joe Paulin and the late Orpha Davis.

    Jeremy and Sarah Bledsoe Nash, Louisville, announce the birth of a son, Mason Daniel Paul, March 7, 2011, at Baptist Hospital East, Louisville. He weighed 8 pounds, 4 ounces and was 21 inches long.
    Maternal grandparents are George Bledsoe, and Joe and Corinne Tingle Cash. Paternal grandparents are Keith and Susie Owens, Louisville, and Thelma Bledsoe, New Albany, Ind. Great-grandparents are Hilda Tingle, Bardstown, and the late Bootsey Tingle.
    The baby was welcomed home by two brothers, Austin, 7, and Evan, 1.

    Aaron and Kristen Boles, Bardstown, announce the birth of a son, Alec Kelly, March 25, 2011, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. He weighed 6 pounds, 8 ounces and was 20 inches long.
    Maternal grandparents are Larry and Barbara Young, Springfield, and Angela McDonnell, Bardstown. Paternal grandparents are Jim and Bonnie Boles, Bardstown. Great-grandparents are Dorothy Bradshaw, Lebanon, and the late Kelly Bradshaw, Dean and Betty Skinner, Bardstown, and Marie Boles, Sullivan, Ind.
    The baby was welcomed home by two brothers, Aiden, 4, and Andrew, 2.

  • Anniversary-Mudd

    Leroy “Buddy” and Ann Hamilton Mudd will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary April 15. They were married at Holy Trinity Church, Fredericktown, April 15, 1961.
    They are lifelong residents of the Fredericktown community.
    They have six children, David Mudd, the late Patricia Mudd the late John Mudd, Mary Ann Downs, Sally McLaughlin, and Jenny Neel; and 10 grandchildren.
    A family celebration is planned for a later date.

    The bride is a graduate of Nelson County High School and the daughter of Charles Armstrong and Darlene Boone, both of Bardstown.
    The groom is the son of Maria Ester Rivas Loredo, Panuco, Vera Cruz.
    The bride was given in marriage by her father.
    Maid of honor was Jessica Walker, Bardstown.
    The best man was Gilberto Paes, Bardstown.
