    The bride is the daughter of Faye and Steve Clayton, Fairfield, and Gerald Cheser, Louisville.
    The groom is the son of Sharon and Tony Gies, Cox’s Creek.
    The matron of honor was Jessie Weis.
    The best man was Joby Willis.
    They are making their home in Cox’s Creek.

  • Mackin-Bowling

    Kimberly Ann Mackin, Bardstown, and Nicholas Martin Bowling, Versailles, were married Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010, at St. Catherine Church, New Haven.
    The Rev. Danny Schwendeman officiated the ceremony.
    The bride is the daughter of Lee Mackin and Marilyn Coulter, Bardstown, and the granddaughter of Bill and Laverne Mackin and Elsie Coulter, all of Bardstown.
    The groom is the son of David and Mary Ann Taylor Bowling, Versailles, and the grandson of Buddy and Susie Taylor, Bardstown, and Marguerite Bowling, New Haven, and the late Martin Bowling.

    Allisson and Paul Duke, Bardstown, announce the birth of a daughter, Kristen Grace, Nov. 25, 2010,at Flaget Memorial Hospital. She weighed 8 pounds, 5 ounces and was 20-1/2 inches long.
    Maternal grandparents are Dianne and Bruce Chesser, Bardstown. Paternal grandparents are Mabel Norris and Roger Duke, both of Cloverport. Great-grandparents are Mary Lou McKinney and Clyde McKinney, Bardstown, J.A. and Joyce Boone, James and Bea Duke and Jessie and Jean Smith.

    Jeff and Melanie Sagrecy announce the birth of a son, Harrison Lee, Sept. 30, 2010, at Norton Suburban Hospital, Louisville. He weighed 7 pounds, 11 ounces and was 21 inches long.
    Maternal grandparents are Mike and Laure Ballard. Paternal grandparents are David and Beverly Sagrecy. Great-grandparents are Jimmy and Martha Willett and Rose Ballard.
    The baby was welcomed home by a brother, Everett, 2.

  • Hatfields celebrate 75 years

    Ivan and Bea Brinner Hatfield will celebrate their 75th  wedding anniversary Dec. 7. Mr. Hatfield, a World War II veteran, was a painter for 55 years. Mrs. Hatfield worked at Willett’s Distillery and retired from Owens-Illinois.
    They have a daughter, Mary Ann Hatfield Johnson; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

    Tina and Dean Vittitoe, Harrodsburg, announce the birth of a daughter, Natalie Shay, Nov. 5, 2010, at Baptist Hospital East. She weighed 8 pounds, 0.5 ounce and was 20 inches long.
    Maternal grandparents are James and Marlene Marshall, Bloomfield. Paternal grandmother is Alfie Vittitoe, Bardstown. Great-grandparents are the late G. Francis Sr. and Mary L. Marshall, The late David and Catherine Douglas and the late Hugh and Anna Lee Vittitoe.
    The baby was welcomed home by two brothers, Nicholas, 9, and Nathan, 6.

    Tracy Newton and Tammy Abell, Loretto, announce the birth of a daughter, Glenna Rachelle Newton, Nov. 6, 2010, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. She weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces and was 19-1/2 inches long.
    Maternal grandparents are Sam and Joyce Abell, Finley. Paternal grandparents are Brenda and Glenn Newton, Loretto. Great-grandparents are the late Frank and Mabel Abell, Mary Marcum and the late Benny Marcum, the late Paul and Barbara Mudd and Eugene and Betty Newton.
    The baby was welcomed home by a brother, Jace, 20; and Shaina, 18.
