    Julie May Owens, Bardstown, announces the birth of a son, Aaron Keith Carter, Jan. 24, 2011, at Norton Hospital, Louisville. He weighed 6 pounds, 6 ounces and was 19 inches long.
    Maternal grandparents are Mary Carter and Stephen Owens, both of Shepherdsville.
    The baby was welcomed home by two brothers, Ethan Carter, 8, and Isaiah Carter, 4.

    Earl and Alice Beam celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary Feb. 2. They were married Feb. 2, 1946, at St. Thomas Church. Mr. Beam is retired from Heaven Hill Distillery and Mrs. Beam, the former Alice Wimpsett, is a homemaker. They have five children James Beam, William Beam, Catherine Means, Charles Beam and Stephen Beam; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

     The baby was welcomed home by a brother, Conner, 2.

    The bride was given in marriage by her father.
