UPDATE: Ashley was indicted Feb. 7, 2018 by a Nelson County Grand Jury for first-degree robbery. Her bail was set at $25,000 cash only, and her arraignment in Nelson Circuit Court is scheduled for Feb. 22.

A woman was arraigned on a first-degree robbery charge Friday morning after being accused of a theft from the city’s Dollar General store.

According to an arrest report, Antwaneisha D. Ashley, 26, is accused of taking $260 worth of merchandise from the New Haven store last Friday and when confronted by the store manager, allegedly struck the manager with a car door and then backed into the manager with a vehicle and fled the scene.

Ashley was also charged Tuesday with criminal trespassing and resisting arrest by Louisville Metro Police for allegedly refusing to leave a BMW dealership and struggling with an officer, who used a stun gun to gain control. Ashley’s LMPD arrest citation lists her as living in Louisville, but the Nelson County citation lists her as having a New Haven address.
