Culvertown sports leagues

All coaches of participating kickball and softball teams in the 2013 Tuesday night adult kickball and Thursday night men’s softball leagues should attend an informational meeting 7 p.m. Monday at the Culvertown ballpark. The softball league starts Thursday, June 13. The kickball league starts Tuesday, June 18. Call 549-3451 with questions.


Bardstown Lady Tigers hoops camp

Bardstown girls’ basketball coach Jamie Neal is hosting a basketball camp 8 a.m. - noon June 10-13 at Bardstown High School gym. The camp is for girls entering grades K-8 for the 2013-14 school year. Cost is $35 per camper or $60 if two from the same family attend. Walkup registration begins at 7:30 a.m. June 10 and is $40. Call 331-8802 with questions.


Officer Jason Ellis Memorial baseball tournament

There is a meeting 2 p.m. Sunday at the Nelson County Public Library to discuss and prepare for the upcoming Officer Jason Ellis Memorial baseball tournament. The tournament is scheduled for July 12-14 at Dean Watts Park. Saturday’s meeting is to plan for the July tournament and identify volunteers. Bardstown Tigers volleyball camp

Bardstown coach Felicia Sanchez is hosting a camp for any girls entering grades 3-9 for the 2013-14 school year. The camp is June 17-20, with grades 3-6 from 8-10 a.m. and grades 7-9 from 10 a.m. - noon. Registration cost is $35 in advance or $40 walkup the first day of camp. T-shirts are provided. Thomas Nelson football camp

Thomas Nelson coach Greg Brohm is hosting a camp July 13 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. for players entering grades 1-8. This is a non-contact camp for all offensive and defensive positions. Cost is $50 per player and lunch and a T-shirt is included. Call 349-4650 for more information.


Bethlehem volleyball camp

The Bethlehem Banshees volleyball camp is 1-4 p.m. July 16-18. Cost is $40 per person. The camp is open to girls entering grades 6-8. The camp will be held in the school's newly air-conditioned gymnasium. Each person attending will receive a camp T-shirt and Top Camper Awards will also be handed out. SC’s Rizer offers golf lessons

If you want to improve your golf game, and help support the St. Catharine College golf program at the same time, you have that opportunity again this spring with St. Catharine College head coach and five-time women’s Kentucky State Am champ Joan Rizer, who will be offering lessons at Bardstown Country Club at Maywood. All proceeds go to the Patriots men’s and women’s golf programs. The lessons are offered each Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Call at 507-4777 to set up a time for the lessons.


NC Cardinals Basketball Camp

Nelson County boys’ basketball coach Bev Hart is hosting a camp for boys 9 a.m. - noon June 17-19 at the gym. Cost is $40 per camper, discounted to $30 for brothers. Campers receive a T-shirt. Registration forms are available at the county schools. Call 349-7010 or (270) 584-4370 with questions.


NCSC Advanced Training Academy

The Nelson County Soccer Club, formerly NCYSA, hosts its Advanced Training Academy sessions  on Fridays throughout the summer at Dean Watts Park from 5-7 p.m. The ATA focuses on motor skills, technical skils and tactical skills. Soccer Clinics

Martin Bodkin, the Bardstown High Girls Soccer Coach and a National “C” & Youth Licensed Coach, will conduct soccer clinics for players aged 8-14 years old. The clinic will be focused on improving both the fundamental skills, as well as increasing technical ability & playing in small sided games. The clinics will run  June 3-7, 10-14, 17-21, and 24–28.
