Oftentimes a 294 total will be low enough to win a college golf tournament. But last Friday the St. Catharine College Patriots found themselves in second place with that 294 total at the Brescia University invitational held at My Old Kentucky Home Golf Course in Bardstown.

St. Catharine, however, did get a first place in the individual competition as junior Nick Patterson, Harrodsburg, earned medalist honors with a three-under par 68. Brescia won the team competition with a 288.
