A pair of golfers with local ties is one step away from heading to Augusta National.

Luke Coyle, who is the grandson of Terry Coyle, and Abigail Sutherland, whose father Chip grew up in Bardstown (grandparents Mr. And Mrs. Bob Sutherland still live here), both easily captured first place in their age divisions in the Drive Chip and Putt Sub-Regional at Persimmon Ridge.

They advance to the regional event in Michigan in early October where the top two performers in each group will qualify for the finals to be held the Sunday before The Masters.
