Police seek whereabouts of three men

The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office has taken to social media looking for three men wanted for separate drug crimes in the area.

According to the posts made on the NCO’s Facebook page Friday morning, Roger D. Cothern, Travis W. Linton and Deangelo Phillips are currently wanted by police.

All three men were indicted by a Nelson County Grand Jury June 1.

Cothern, 52, of Boston, is wanted for manufacturing meth, trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree possession of controlled substances (meth), possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and is charged as a first-degree persistent felony offender.

According to the indictment, Cothern allegedly committed these offenses May 3. The persistent felony offender charge stems from a previous conviction of complicity to receiving stolen property, third-degree arson and third-degree burglary in other counties.
Cothern’s bail is set for $50,000 cash, plus conditions.

Linton, 40, of Bardstown, is wanted for manufacturing meth, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (meth), first-degree possession of a controlled substance (opiates), first-degree trafficking in controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and trafficking in marijuana.

According to the indictment, Linton allegedly committed these offenses Jan. 22. His bail is set at $50,000 cash, plus conditions.

Phillips, 25, of Bardstown, is wanted for three counts of first-degree trafficking in controlled substances (cocaine) and three counts possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the indictment, Phillips allegedly committed these offenses Sept. 12, 13 and 23. His bail is set at $9,500 cash, plus conditions.
