Despite rain in the forecast and gray skies once again putting a damper on the closing concert, Saturday’s Rolling Fork Iron Horse Festival in New Haven saw a decent crowd for the 2018 event.

The festival spanned from early Saturday morning to late afternoon and included arts, crafts and food booths, live music, a magic show, dancers, art and historical displays, a silent auction, children’s activities and a parade.

Approaching three decades of community celebration, this year’s Iron Horse Festival theme was “Pillars of Our Community,” and the event highlighted the 150th anniversary of St. Catherine Academy, a Catholic school serving many from the area.

While this year’s festival has come and gone, money raised during the event will go back into the community to support various groups, organizations and activities.
