One person injured in KY 245 accident

A Cox’s Creek woman was transported to Flaget Memorial Hospital after a car accident on KY 245 shortly after 6 p.m. Monday.

According to a report from the Nelson County Sheriff’s Department, Nicole L. Sweazy, 35, slowed in traffic while driving south on KY 245 in the Rooster Run area. The vehicle behind her, which was being driven by Michael C. Gaffney, 25, of New Haven, struck the rear of her car.

Neither Gaffney nor the passenger in his car was injured, according to police.

Sweazy, whose car suffered moderate damage, was transported to Flaget.
