UPDATE: Steven Luvis entered a guilty plea for an amended charge of sexual misconduct and was sentenced to 12 months in jail with a conditional discharge. Incest and persistent felony offender charges against him were dismissed.

A New Haven man was indicted Wednesday on felony sex charges for offenses that allegedly occurred in May.

Steven Luvisi, 41, is charged with first-degree sodomy and incest of a victim under 12. Both are Class A felony charges.

According to the indictment, the offenses occurred on or before May 23, 2017 in Nelson County. Luvisi is accused of engaging in deviate sexual intercourse with another person less than 12 years of age.

Bail was set at $100,000 cash only, plus conditions, and his arraignment is set for Aug. 3.

Luvisi was also indicted as a second-degree persistent felony offender, having previously been convicted of flagrant non-support in Nelson County in 2008.
