A man shot during an alleged home invasion in Elizabethtown last Friday has been identified as Christopher Little, 30, of Boston.

Little is accused of breaking into two homes on Hall Road Friday and was shot when confronted by the second homeowner.

According to a citation from Kentucky State Police, a woman told police Little initially tried to come through the front door of her home, but she would not allow him to enter. He then went to the back door, broke a small window and entered the residence.

The woman told police Little took a Mountain Dew from the refrigerator and that she armed herself with a gun and hid in a bedroom.

By the time police arrived at that home, Little had already fled from the residence, but attempted to break into a neighbor’s home and was shot in the process.

Little was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital for treatment of a head injury, according to The News-Enterprise, and he has since been charged with two counts of second-degree burglary.

In 2015, Little was convicted for complicity to manufacturing meth and complicity to possession of drug paraphernalia in Nelson County, as well as separate drug possession, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct charges. He had led police on a foot chase through downtown Bardstown in January of that year, and then-mayor John Royalty assisted police in apprehending him.
