Accused of impersonating a "Family Ties" actor

Bardstown Police have arrested a man accused of rape in Bardstown who also is wanted in connection to several sexual assaults in Arizona, Colorado, Massachusetts and Ohio.

Nathan Larry Loebe, 36, was arrested Thursday afternoon for an alleged sexual assault that occurred on Sunday in which he is accused of assaulting a woman at a residence on Reardon Boulevard in Bardstown.

According to a press release from the Bardstown Police Department, Loebe also has addresses listed in Louisville and Tucson, Ariz.

While investigating the local case, BPD learned that Louisville police detectives had been searching for Loebe for separate offenses, and that Loebe was also wanted on charges out of Arizona.

According to the press release, Loebe is wanted in Tucson for 40 open cases of stalking, harassment and threats made against women, as well as nine sexual assaults. He is also wanted in Colorado, Massachusetts and Ohio for sexual assault.

The Tucson Police Department, which is investigating the Arizona charges, was unable to provide details on the case on Friday.

Loebe is currently being held at the Nelson County Jail on a $2.2 million bond after he was arraigned in court Friday morning. He is due back in court Tuesday.

BPD Detective Lynn Davis is directing the case.

According to the press release, Loebe located some of the alleged victims using personal dating sites.

Loebe has been accused of impersonating Brian Bonsall, an actor from the 1980s television series “Family Ties.” Recent mug shots of Loebe show he has some of the same tattoos as the real Bonsall, including a large butterfly on his neck.

Bonsall had, on prior occasions, taken to social media calling attention to the impersonator.

There was no criminal history listed for Loebe in Kentucky.
