Local business issues challenge to help Rogers' family

As the search continues for Bardstown mother Crystal Rogers, other community efforts are helping to create a trust fund for the Ballard family. Liberty Tax Service, on North Third, issued a challenge recently through social media encouraging local businesses to purchase Prayers for Crystal shirts and post pictures of employees wearing them. Those who don't compete the challenge must donate $25 to the trust fund.

The tax service has recently challenged Mammy's Kitchen, Big O Tire, Perfection Pools and WBRT Radio. To date, over 1,000 signs and over 3,000 shirts and numerous other items have been ordered, demonstrating the growing support of the community. Mary Taylor, of Liberty Tax Service, said those interested in placing orders are invited to stop by the office.

“We’re open late nights, we’ll meet, we’ll do whatever we can to get the orders completed,” Taylor said.
