Juvenile collides with van

A juvenile was taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after his bicycle collided with a van on East Broadway.
According to Officer Glenn Wheatley of the Bardstown Police Department, three juvenile males were riding bikes down the hill on East Broadway. Two of the juveniles moved to the side of the road but a third juvenile, a 15-year-old male, collided with a van that was turning into the parking lot of the Civil War Museum.


According to police, the juvenile struck the back of the van, shattering the back windshield.
The juvenile was transported by Nelson County EMS to Flaget Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
East Broadway was momentarily closed as police cleared the scene.
Bardstown firefighters assisted at the scene.
