At least two inmates of the Nelson County Jail have been charged with second-degree criminal mischief for tampering with a cell door.

According to a complaint from the jail, personnel discovered Monday that a food chase door on a cell would not lock after several attempts with a key. The personnel reviewed surveillance footage that allegedly showed inmates David Chesser and James Drum tampering with the opening and sticking items inside the lock.

Both men are scheduled for arraignment on the charges  Friday morning.

Chesser was previously sentenced to a year in March on an escape charge.
