An injury accident that occurred just before 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon has resulted in an arrest after a vehicle involved was reported stolen.

According to the Nelson County Sheriff's Office, deputies and EMS responded to the accident on U.S. 150 between Bardstown Auto Wreckers and Cane Run Loop.

While on scene, deputies determined that a 1993 Chevy Lumina driven by 30-year-old Amanda Milburn, of Chaplin, had been traveling east when it crossed the center line. Milburn struck a 2000 Dodge pickup driven by 55-year-old Anthony Wimsett, of Bardstown. The vehicle continued off the roadway and struck a utility pole.

Milburn was transported by Nelson County EMS to Flaget Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained in the accident, and was cited at the hospital for driving without a license.
At around 8 p.m. Saturday, Deputy Levi Preston responded to Biven's Automotive on Springfield Road on report that a car had been stolen from the scene.

After further investigation, it was discovered that the Lumina driven by Milburn was the vehicle in question, and had been at the Automotive shop for repair work.

Preston made contact with Milburn who admitted to taking the vehicle without permission.
Milburn was arrested and charged with theft of a vehicle, first-degree criminal mischief and third-degree burglary. She also had an outstanding arrest warrant with Washington County.

The owner of the Lumina that was taken was notified of the incident.
