Horizons Academy is all about success and how to get there.

Built from scratch as a 10th school for the Nelson County School District, the academy is designed to meet the needs of at-risk students who are having trouble succeeding in the regular school environment, principal Scottie Collier said.

“I am in awe, they actually decided to build a new building” for these students, Collier said. “I think it is awesome the board had the vision to build this. I think the kids are really going to buy into this.”
