Hardin County crash claims life of New Haven woman

A New Haven woman was killed early Monday afternoon in a crash in Hardin County.

According to a press release from Kentucky State Police, 57-year-old Helen Bartley died at the scene of the two-car crash on Ky. 210, Hodgenville Road.

Bartley was driving west when, for unknown reasons, an eastbound vehicle driven by 76-year-old Judy Summers, of Elizabethtown, crossed the center line and collided with Bartley’s vehicle.

Summers was flown to University Hospital in Louisville in critical condition.

The roadway was shut down for two hours while KSP reconstructed the accident. The crash is under investigation by Detective Bryan Washer.
