Glasgow man seriously injured after Saturday night car accident

A 60-year-old man is in serious condition after a single-vehicle accident near the 23 mile marker of Bluegrass Parkway that occurred Saturday night.

According to a press release from the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the report of the injury accident at about 11 p.m. When deputies arrived on scene, they discovered the accident and identified Ricky McDonald as the operator of the vehicle. McDonald was transported to Flaget Memorial Hospital by Nelson County EMS and then flown to the University of Louisville Hospital by Air Methods.

The Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of the accident, but speed is believed to be a factor.

McDonald was listed in serious condition as of Sunday afternoon.
