One man was sent to the hospital after a Friday morning vehicle accident on Bluegrass Parkway, according to a press release from the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office.

According to police, Nelson County emergency personnel were called to a rollover accident near the westbound 18 mile marker on the parkway at about 6:40 a.m. Police say Thomas Rogers, 20, was traveling westbound in a 2010 Jeep when he left the roadway on the right side striking a culvert and then overturning several times in the median. Rogers was ejected during the rollover and came to a final rest on the shoulder of the eastbound lanes. The Jeep stopped in the median. Rogers was transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital by Nelson County EMS.

Rogers’ condition is unknown, but police say he was conscious and talking upon the arrival of first responders.
