EDITORIAL: Dixie might be ‘retiring,’ but we are betting she will be busy

-A A +A
By The Kentucky Standard Editorial Board

Just before the New Year, Dixie Hibbs said she was retiring.

We find that amusing, because we know better. It’s not like she’s just going to quietly live out the rest of her days at home, watching the daily soaps and talk shows, disengaging from the public eye. It’s just not her style.

And it’s a good thing, too, because a town and county as steeped in history as Bardstown and Nelson County needs a good steward of its historical records. Dixie Hibbs has been that person for decades.
