Driver injured on Quarry Lane

A Bardstown man, Michael Hite, 41, was injured early Saturday morning when the vehicle he as driving ran off the right side of the road and hit a tree in the 400 block of Quarry Lane.

Nelson County Dispatch received the call about 5:48 a.m., according the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office.

Hite was entrapped, and firefighters had to use mechanical means to remove him.

He was taken by ambulance to the University of Louisville Hospital.

Deputy Sheriff A.J. Lewis is the investigating officer on the case.

Bardstown Fire and Nelson County Fire & Rescue responded along with Nelson County EMS and sheriff’s deputies.
