One teen died and three others were injured late Wednesday night in a single-vehicle accident on Stoner Road.

According to a press release from the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies Jarren Culver, Chris Conway and Richard Jones were called to a residence in the 400 block around 10 p.m. where they discovered a 2014 Chrysler 300 had left the roadway and struck a tree.

The driver of the vehicle, 19-year-old Braden Karr of Bardstown, was found unresponsive and later pronounced dead at the scene by the Nelson County Coroner.

Three passengers in the vehicle were injured, including one passenger, 18-year-old Isaac Goff, with a head injury and a broken femur. Goff was flown to the University of Louisville Hospital for treatment of his injuries. The other two passengers, 18-year-old Christian Cahoe and 19-year-old Lucas Bradshaw, were transported by Nelson County EMS to Flaget Memorial Hospital.

The accident is still under investigation, but deputies indicated there was no evidence of alcohol being a contributing factor to the crash.
