Couple arrested in connection to burglary investigation

Bardstown police arrested a couple on theft charges Tuesday following a burglary investigation.


According to a press release from the Bardstown Police Department, the investigation was opened Dec. 10 following a burglary at Maywood U Store It.

Detectives developed leads on the investigation, and officers later located Patrick Bruce Davidson, 44, and Deanna Davidson, 41, both of Bardstown, after they left a residence on Guthrie Drive.

According to the release, officers located a large sheathed knife hidden near the headrest inside the couple’s vehicle. They also located a small amount of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The couple was transported to BPD for further questioning.

Patrick Davidson was arrested and charged with possession of burglary tools, receiving stolen property, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and carrying a concealed deadly weapon. Deanna Davidson was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were lodged in the Nelson County Jail.
