Bardstown man injured in Marion Co. accident

A Bardstown man was injured in a motorcycle collision Wednesday evening in Marion County.

According to a media release from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, officers received a report of a collision on Ky. 527, about one mile north of Raywick around 6:23 p.m.

Joseph R. Parrish, 52, of Bardstown, was operating a 2015 Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound when he lost control in a curve and traveled off the roadway into a ditch.

Marion County EMS transported Parrish to Spring View Hospital for treatment of a leg injury. Raywick Fire assisted at the scene.

Marion County Deputy Sheriff Tristan Hayden is investigating. Parrish was reportedly not wearing a helmet.
