    Bardstown Tiger Golf Scramble

    There is a golf scramble Saturday at Woodlawn Springs to benefit the Bardstown High School boys’ and girls’ basketball programs. Registration is 7 a.m. with a shotgun start at 8. Cost is $50 per player or $200 for a four-person team. Hole sponsorships are available for $100. Lunch is provided. To register or for questions, call (502) 331-8802 or (502) 249-0199. Registration closes Wednesday.

    Culvertown Ballpark will host a kickball marathon Friday-Saturday at the park to benefit the Nelson County High School girls’ basketball program. Entry is $50 per team.

     

    Travel baseball tryouts

    The U8 and U9 Nelson County Sliders competitive baseball teams are holding tryouts Saturday at Dean Watts Park from 8 a.m. – noon. Players can not turn 10 years old before May 1, 2016, to qualify. For more information, contact jmouser007@gmail.com.

    Annual FOP Golf Scramble rescheduled
    The Fraternal Order of Police Old Kentucky Home Lodge 43 has decided to reschedule the third annual Jason Ellis Memorial Golf Scramble. The decision was made after careful consideration. The group feels this is the best decision in light of the current high-profile investigation. An announcement of the new date will be forthcoming.     Bethlehem is hosting a fastpitch softball camp July 20-22, 6-8:30 p.m. The three-day camp will focus on individual and team skills for girls in grades 4-8. Cost is $45 with a limit of 30 campers.
