    Ball-Out Classic

    Bardstown City Schools is hosting a tournament for boys and girls rec and AAU teams in grades 4-8 March 2-4. Teams are guaranteed three games, with pool play and then all teams advancing to a single elimination tournament. KHSAA rules are enforced.     Jules Camara Basketball Clinic

    Former University of Kentucky player Jules Camara and local high school coach Mike Ayersman are putting on a pair of basketball clinics at Old Kentucky Home Middle School. The camp, which meets 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Oct. 8, will stress fundamentals. Lunch will be served, and prizes and T-shirts will also be available.     Fall soccer registration is going on now through July 1.  You can register online at www.nelsoncoyouthsoccer.com, or pick up a form at Rec Department, Bardstown Sporting Goods or Hibbetts. This also includes Little Kicker registration and U9 academy.

    There will be two in-person registrations, 6-8 p.m. June 24 and June 28 at Hibbetts Sports.

    Pikeville College is hosting a showcase June 25 to evaluate 2011 graduates, 2012 student-athletes and any unsigned seniors. Cost is $60, with lunch and a T-shirt provided.     The Nelson County Youth Soccer Association is hosting a USSF Soccer Referee Recertification class Jan. 9, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., at the Bardstown Recreation Center. This is for previously certified referees only. A review will be held Jan. 8, noon-2 p.m., at the Bardstown Recreational Center.
