    Culvertown Ballpark league signups

    Signups are underway for adult sports leagues at Culvertown Ballpark. The co-ed kickball league will play on Tuesday nights starting June 2, while the men’s softball league is on Thursday nights starting June 4. Team representatives are asked to attend a league meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the ballpark. To sign up or if you have questions, call 549-3451.

    NWTF Catfish Roundup
    The Central Kentucky Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Foundation is hosting a catfish roundup for kids 16 and younger on Saturday, June 6. The event is 7 a.m.-noon at Boone Farms in New Hope. All expenses are paid, lunch is provided. Anglers are asked to bring chairs and poles. Participants must register by May 28. Call 331-1209 or 349-3502 with questions.

    The Thomas Nelson volleyball squad will be selling flowers for Mother’s Day at Town & Country Bank in New Haven on today from 2-7 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. In addition, Thomas Nelson will be hosting volleyball open gym on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-8 p.m.

    Golf scramble fundraiser

    Bluegrass Christian Academy is hosting a golf scramble Saturday, April 25, with an 8 a.m. shotgun start at Bardstown Country Club at Woodlawn Springs. Entry forms are due Wednesday, April 15. Cost is $55 per player, which includes a cart and lunch. Cash prizes for first, second and third place, as well as a $10,000 chance at a hole-in-one. Call (502) 507-2262 with questions.

    NC girls’ soccer meeting

    The Nelson County Lady Cardinals soccer team is having its preseason player/parent meeting on Tuesday, March 10 at 6:30 p.m. in the school library. All existing players and players planning on playing in the fall need to attend this informational meeting. Any current seventh- and eighth-grade students who will be in the eighth or ninth grade in the fall need to attend also.
