    KofC FT contest

    The Knights of Columbus Bardstown Council 1290 is sponsoring a free-throw shooting contest 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 14, at the Bethlehem High School gymnasium. The contest is open to Nelson County boys and girls ages 9-14. Winners advance to district, regional and state competition. There is no entry fee to participate and walk-up registration the day of the contest is available. Call 331-9223 for more information.

    Lady Tigers skills camp

    Bardstown girls’ basketball coach Amber Courtney is hosting a one-day skills camp Wednesday, Nov. 22, at the Bardstown High School gym. The camp runs 9 a.m. to noon and is open to boys and girls campers in grades K-6. Cost is $25. Call 331-8802 for more information.

    Meet the Lady Generals

    Thomas Nelson’s girls’ basketball team is hosting its fourth annual Meet the Lady Generals chili/soup supper on Saturday, Nov. 18. Food is served at 5 p.m., and the intrasquad scrimmage will start at 6:30 p.m. There will be a silent auction, alumni recognition and participation. Cost is $10 per person, but kids 4 years old and younger get in free. Tickets can be purchased from a current player or coach, or by calling/texting (502) 827-0624.

    B’town HOF night

    The rescheduled Bardstown Athletics Hall of Fame Night is set for Friday, Sept. 29, during the game with Waggener.

     

    Bardstown honors ’67 title team

    Bardstown High School will honor the players and coaches from its 1967 state football championship during halftime of its Oct. 6 home game against Henry County. There will also be a reception following the game. Players and coaches from that team will also receive free admission.

    There will be a golf scramble at Maywood on Sunday to benefit the Bethlehem High School boys’ basketball program. Registration is 8 a.m., with shotgun start at 9.
