    TNHS Wrestling scrimmage

    The Thomas Nelson wrestling team is hosting its inaugural Navy-Grey

    Scrimmage at 6:30 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free, and there will be a rules clinic to teach the community about the sport. Team members will be introduced and there will be some wrestle-offs for varsity positions in the various weight divisions.

    NC Little League winter meeting

    The winter organizational meeting of the Nelson County Little League is Sunday, Dec. 7, at 2 p.m. in the large conference room of the Nelson County Public Library. The Little League will be organizing for the upcoming Spring 2015 Little League baseball and softball season, including election of a new Board of Directors. All persons interested in helping with Little League this season should attend. Email littleleague@bardstown.com with questions.

    Purple Madness

    Bardstown boys’ and girls’ basketball Purple Madness is Thursday, Nov. 20, at 6:30 p.m., to kick off the 2014-15 season with the Tigers’ intrasquad scrimmages.

    Generals Madness

    Thomas Nelson boys’ basketball is hosting its Generals Madness season kickoff event Friday at 7 p.m., featuring the team’s intrasquad scrimmage.

    Bardstown boys’ and girls’ basketball Purple Madness is Thursday, Nov. 20, at 6:30 p.m., to kick off the 2014-15 season with the Tigers’ intrasquad scrimmages.

    Sixth-grade hoops tourney
    The Nelson County Cardinals boys’ basketball team is hosting a sixth-grade basketball tournament Nov. 15. Interested teams should e-mail bev.hart@nelson.kyschools.us. There is no entry fee and a two-game guarantee. Admission is $5 for fans.

    Thomas Nelson High School is hosting its inaugural Meet The Lady Generals Tipoff Evening on Oct. 30 at 6 p.m. The event will feature a chili supper, silent auction and intrasquad scrimmage. Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door. Tickets can be purchased from any Thomas Nelson girls’ basketball player or at the TNHS front office.     Elite U16 tryouts

    Nelson County Elite will have tryouts for U16 boys interested in playing competitive soccer for 2015 spring season. Scheduled date for tryouts are 2-4 p.m. Oct. 5 at Dean Watts Park.     TNHS Camp Impact
    New Thomas Nelson boys’ basketball coach Brandon Johnson is hosting his Camp Impact on Saturday, Oct. 11. Former St. Catharine head coach and current Southern Miss assistant Wade O’Connor is guest speaker. The camp is for boys and girls, with kids in grades 2-5 attending from 9 a.m. - noon and grades 6-8 at 1-4 p.m. Cost is $30 per child with a maximum of $50 per family.
