    Soccer Clinics

    Bardstown girls’ soccer coach Martin Bodkin, a National “C” and Youth Licensed Coach, will conduct several five-day clinics for players ages 8-14. The clinic will focus on improving the fundamental skills as well as increasing technical ability, and playing small-sided games. The clinics will run 9 a.m.-noon  June 18-22 and June 25–29. Lunch is provided. For more information, call 460-3573.

    NCHS Volleyball open gym/tryouts

    The Nelson County High School volleyball program is hosting several open gyms throughout June, with tryouts for new players taking place in July. Open gym dates are 3:30-5:15 p.m. June 4-5, 7, 11-12, 14, 18-19, 21, 25-26, 28 in the main NCHS gym, as well as 3:30-5:30 p.m. July 10. Tryouts for new players is 10-11:30 a.m. and 1-2:30 p.m. July 16, with practice immediately following from 4-6 p.m. Call 249-0144 with questions.

    Bethlehem Cheer Tryouts

    Bethlehem High School is holding tryouts for its cheerleading squad Tuesday and Wednesday at the school. Tuesday’s tryout clinic is 4-6 p.m. and Wednesday’s tryout day is 4-7 p.m. Tryouts are open to all incoming freshman and currently enrolled students for the 2012-13 school year. Registration forms may be picked up in the school office or call 827-1219 for more information.
