Bethlehem saw its four-year run atop the 19th District come crashing down in a district championship upset to Washington County last year.
To reclaim that throne, the Banshees will need its handful of upperclassmen returnees to take on bigger roles than ever before, and a deep group of newcomers to develop fast.
“This is the youngest team I’ve had since year one,” said Shaun Smith, now in his sixth year as Bethlehem’s head coach. “We’re young but talented. Freshmen and middle-schoolers will play key roles.”
