Fred Gross, a Holocaust survivor, speaks about his families journey through France while presenting to Bardstown Middle School students Thursday.
‘A child of the Holocaust’

As Fred Gross showed a photograph of himself as a baby, he asked the middle school students to think about the picture.

“During the Holocaust, there were a million-and-a-half Jewish children who were killed by the Nazis; exterminated in the death camps,” he said. “Among them were children that age.”

Gross, a Holocaust survivor, spoke at Bardstown Middle School late last week about his family’s journey through France to escape from the Nazi invasion of his home country of Belgium.
