  • St. Clair resentencing phase begins

    SHEPHERDSVILLE — Dennis Reese led a 14-member jury panel through a two-week trek that ended in the death of a Bardstown man in 1991.

    Reese is the key witness in the murder case against Michael St. Clair.

    Having been convicted of the murder of Frank Brady in 1991, St. Clair is back in Bullitt Circuit Court so that the jury can determine his sentence.

    On two other occasions, the state Supreme Court has overturned death penalty sentences for the Oklahoma man.

  • Nelson Circuit Court Indictments

  • Murder trial delayed for suspect in New Haven stabbing

    The trial for David Jerome Willett, suspected in the stabbing death of Eric Douglas Stallard in New Haven last December, has been delayed a second time.

    Willett, 27, New Hope, stands accused of stabbing 39-year-old Stallard, New Haven, in an apartment at 107 Locust St. in New Haven the evening of Dec. 2, 2010. At the time, police reported that an argument about who Stallard was dating escalated into violence. Stallard was reportedly killed with a 7-inch lockblade.
