  • Nelson County Grand Jury indictments for Dec. 21

    Note: The indictment of a person by a grand jury or otherwise is an accusation only and that person is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

    The following people have been indicted by a Nelson County grand jury. They were set for arraignment in Nelson Circuit Court Jan. 5.

  • Elizabethtown man indicted for bringing weapon in county jail

    A 26-year-old man is charged with first-degree promoting contraband and third-degree terroristic threatening after allegedly bringing a weapon inside the Nelson County Jail.

    According to the indictment filed in Nelson Circuit Court Wednesday, Gary Wayne Kinder Jr. brought a homemade knife into the Nelson County Jail Dec. 8, and threatend to harm another person.
