  • Six Bethlehem students to be charged for criminal mischief

    Six Bethlehem High School students will be charged with five counts each of class D felony criminal mischief and eight counts each of class B third-degree misdemeanor criminal mischief in Nelson County court.

    The students, all male, are between the ages of 15 and 17 and will likely be charged as juveniles, according to Bardstown Police Det. Lynn Davis.

    The students admitted to several acts of vandalism causing $9,183 worth of damage around Bardstown in interviews with police, Davis said.

  • New Hope man faces multiple sex crime charges

    Pascal “Pat” Jones, 50, of 130 Willow Spring Road in New Hope was indicted in Marion Circuit Court last week for first-degree rape (three counts), first-degree sodomy (three counts), first-degree sex abuse (43 counts), first-degree unlawful transaction with a minor under 16 (21 counts), unlawful transaction with a minor under 18 (40 counts), and intimidating a witness in a legal process (two counts).

  • Nelson Circuit Court Indictments

    The following people have been indicted by a Nelson County grand jury.  They are set for arraignment in Nelson Circuit Court March 2.

  • Two indicted for Advance America robbery

    Two men have been indicted for the Nov. 18 armed robbery of Advance America Cash Advance in Kentucky Home Square shopping center in Bardstown.

    Luke Aldon Hasty, 30, and Soloman S. Evans Jr., 32, both of Shepherdsville, were indicted for first-degree robbery and complicity to first-degree robbery, both class B felonies. Bail was set for each at $200,000 cash only, plus conditions.

    Hasty and Evans have been connected to at least 20 other robberies throughout Kentucky and southern Indiana.

  • Man cleared of sex crime charge

    A case has been dismissed against a Bloomfield man who was facing a sex crime charge.

    Christopher I. Little was charged with first-degree sodomy in May 2010. The charge was dismissed without prejudice.
