The cause of a single-vehicle accident from which a Leitchfield man was airlifted Monday morning remains unknown.
Ema Sapp Jr., 64, was reportedly driving west on the Blue Grass Parkway, about 15 miles north of Springfield, when the accident occurred. About 10:25 a.m., Sapp’s 1995 Ford Taurus reportedly ran off the roadway and struck the guardrail, according to a press release from Kentucky State Police.
Sapp, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle.
