  • Raymond Frederick Cothern, 69

    Raymond Frederick Cothern, 69, Boston, died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Bullitt County, a self employed painter and a member of the Lebanon Junction Church of God of Prophecy.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil Edward and Eunice Cothern.

    Cremation was chosen by the family and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

    Greenwell-Houghlin Northside Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

  • Amy Ann Richmond, 52

    Amy Ann Richmond, 52, Raywick,  died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012, at Spring View Hospital, Lebanon.

    She was preceded in death by her father, Ora Max Wellman.

    Survivors include her husband, Keith Richmond; two stepdaughters, Corbin Richmond and Meaghan Richmond, both of Hartsville, S.C.; and her mother, Betty McAlister. Anderson, S.C.;

    A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto. With the Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant officiating.

    Mattingly Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

  • Edna Imogene Walker Thompson, 80

    Edna Imogene Walker Thompson, 80, Buffalo, died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home, Hodgenville.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Clayton and Gertie Lewis Walker.

    Survivors include three sons, Phillip L. Thompson, Hodgenville, James M. Thompson, Buffalo, and Terry Thompson, Greensburg.

    The funeral is 2 p.m. Friday at LaRue Baptist Church, Hodgenville, with burial in Buffalo Cemetery, Buffalo.

    The Rev. Don Kennedy will officiate.

  • Alta Lee Wilson, 55

    Alta Lee Wilson, 55, Hodgenville, died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, at Jewish Hospital, Louisville.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Allen “Dick” Wilson and Mary Elizabeth Cundiff Wilson.

    The funeral was 1 p.m. Tuesday at Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home, New Haven, with burial in Roanoke, at the Roanoke House of Prayer Cemetery.

  • Evelyn M. Dones, 102

    Evelyn M.  Dones, 102, died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, at her home surrounded by her children and her care giver/granddaughter, Anita Back.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Rodman “Doc” and Irene Wimpsett Vowels.

    Survivors include three sons, Cleveland “June Bug” Dones, Steve Dones and Larry Dones, all of Boston; three daughters,  Genevieve Haseldon, North Vernon, Ind., Lois Lashley and Jean Back, both of Boston.

  • Robert Hood, 22

    Robert Hood, 22, New Haven, died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, in Cox’s Creek. He worked in construction as a driller and was a Christian by faith.

    Survivors include his father, Randell Hood; his mother, Melissa Young Clark; two brothers, Joshua Hood and James Hood; his grandmothers, Lois Hood and Margie Arvil Young; and his great-grandfather, Willard Akers.

    The funeral is 7 p.m. Wednesday at Scharrer Hardy-Close Funeral Home with cremation to follow. Visitations is 4-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.

  • Thelma Faye Adams Robinson, 82

    Thelma Faye Adams Robinson, 82, Lawrenceburg, died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012. She was a member of the Woodlawn Beech Fork United Methodist Church in Nelson County.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Carlton Robinson; three sons, Larry Robinson, Jerry Robinson and Charles Robinson; her parents, Lena Boone and Paul Adams; a son in-law, Wayne McGaughey; three brothers, Richard Adams, Ernest Adams and Paul Adams; and two sisters, Betty Hayes and Melvie Force.

  • Vickie Marie Ballard Monin, 51

    Vickie Marie Ballard Monin, 51, Bardstown, died Monday, Feb. 20, 2012 at her residence.  She was born Feb. 26, 1960, in Nelson County, was a 1978 graduate of Bardstown High School and was a lifelong homemaker.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Edwin Monin, Jr., her parents, Donnie and Bernice Ballard; and her father- in-law, Sonny Monin.

    Shirley Ann Bolling, 75, Okolona, died Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Bolling; her parents, Harvey and Estelle Crady Wortham; and a brother, Robert Wortham.

    Survivors include her brothers, Gene “Rip” Wortham, Ed Wortham and Donald Wortham; and three sisters, LaVern (the late Frankie) Blanford, Nancy (Donnie) Wells and Geri (the late John) McCain.

    Joy Downs Greenwell, 46, Bardstown, died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012, at her residence.  She was born July 10, 1965, in Bardstown, and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

    She was preceded in death by her sister, Libby Hutchins; and a nephew, Jeremy McCubbins.
