    Mary Alice Ritchie Peterson, 71, New Haven, died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012, at her residence. Born February 29, 1940, in Nelson County, she recently retired after 28 years with Wal-Mart in Bardstown and was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church, New Haven.  She formerly attended Bethlehem Academy and was a member of the Nelson County Homemakers Association and American Legion Post 121 Auxiliary.

    She was preceded in death by a son, Curtis Anthony Lee Holt; a grandson, Isaac Lee Holt;

  • Ann E. Mudd, 75

    Ann E. Mudd, 75, Bardstown, died Sunday, February 26, 2012, at her home.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Mudd.

    Survivors include a daughter, Gwen (Norman)  Hutcheson; three grandchildren, Mardy (Arlen)  Vanhoose and Charles “Chuck” (Cindy Grumpley) Turner; three great-grandchildren, Joshua Vanhoose, Michael Turner and Kelsey Turner; and a sister, Mary Hayes.

    The funeral is 10 a.m. Wednesday at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Okolona, with burial in Calvary Cemetery.

    Ronald Lee Jennette Sr., 67, Bardstown, died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at Jewish Hospital, Louisville. He was a native of Louisville, a self-employed mechanic, a retired employee of Norton-Suburban Hospital in the housekeeping department, and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

    He was preceded in death by a grandson, Anthony Farmer; and his parents, Clarence Edward and Clara Hall Jennette.

    Bernice Kurtz Moore, 89, Bardstown, a devout Catholic, loving mother, grandmother, great and great-great grandmother, died at her home Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012.  She was a homemaker who loved spending time with her large family and enjoyed working in her yard of many roses.  Born in Buechel, she spent most of her life in Bardstown as a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

    Mildred Cash, 85, Boston, died Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, at Life Care Center, Bardstown. She was the former Mildred Barnes and native of LaRue County. She was a former nursing assistant for Woodland Terrace Nursing Home, Elizabethtown, and a former custodian assistant for Boston Elementary School, Boston.

    She was preceded in the death by her husband, Charles Thomas “Buck’ Cash Jr.; and her parents, Roy and Pearlie Mae Barnes.

    Survivors include a sister, Elizabeth Curtsinger, Boston; and several nieces and nephews.

    Joseph Dennis “Denny” Ritchie, 44, Bardstown, died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, at his residence.  He was born Dec. 12, 1967, in Bardstown, a 1986 graduate of Bardstown High School and of the Catholic faith.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Lewis Ritchie and Gertrude Ritchie.

    Bonnie Lou Houck, 77, Bardstown, died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. She was the former Bonnie Reed, a native of Nelson County, a homemaker and member of Woodlawn Beech Fork United Methodist Church.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, J.T. and Zelma Godbey Reed.

    Edna Imogene Walker Thompson, 80, Buffalo, died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home, Hodgenville.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Clayton and Gertie Lewis Walker.

    Survivors include three sons, Phillip L. Thompson, Hodgenville, James M. Thompson, Buffalo, and Terry Thompson, Greensburg.

    The funeral is 2 p.m. Friday at LaRue Baptist Church, Hodgenville, with burial in Buffalo Cemetery, Buffalo.

    The Rev. Don Kennedy will officiate.

    Steven T. Reiter, 56, New Haven, died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, at his residence. He was born Jan. 31, 1956, in Bardstown. He was a 1974 graduate of Nelson County High School, and a member of St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church, New Haven. He retired from Reiter Construction Company with 35 years of service.

    Edward M. “Ed” Carty Jr., 66, Bardstown, died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012, at his residence.  He was a native of Greenville. He retired after 28 years of teaching with the Nelson County Board of Education taught two years in Greenville, was a retired member of the N.E.A., the Nelson County Retired Teachers Association, a Kentucky Colonel and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward M. Sr. and Learlean Oglesby Carty.
