  • Richard Lee “Dick” Stone, 69

    Richard Lee “Dick” Stone, 69, Bardstown, died Friday, March 2, 2012,at Baptist Hospital East, Louisville. He was a retired Captain of the Bardstown Police Department, former volunteer with the Bardstown Fire Department; and founding member of Kudu Martial Arts Association.

    His memberships include New Salem Baptist Church, Cox’s Creek; Duvall Lodge No. 6 F&AM, Bardstown; BSA Scout Master, Troop No. 258, Bardstown; Rover Scouts of the World and Fraternal Order of Police.

  • Randy Gerald Seguin, 62

    Randy Gerald Seguin, 62, New Haven, formerly of Alpena, Mich., died Feb. 23, 2012. He was born Nov. 8, 1949, in Alpena, Mich. He worked for the Department of Corrections for more than 20 years.

    He retired from Camp Cusino Correctional Facility in 1997. He was a member of the Knight of Columbus in Munising and Kentucky.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald Joseph and Bonnie L. Homant Seguin.

  • Betty Carolyn Hardin Keeling, 65

    Betty Carolyn Hardin Keeling, 65, Taylorsville, died Sunday, March 4, 2012, at the residence of her daughter near Normandy.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Andy and Nettie Jane Hardin.

    Survivors include a son, William Thomas Keeling, Bloomfield; and a daughter, Sherry Lynette Keeling Young, Taylorsville.

  • Mary Edgaurita “Rita” Winters, 79

    Mary Edgaurita “Rita” Winters, 79, Manton, died Friday, March 2, 2012, at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center, Louisville.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Eugene and Mary Lela Downs Newton.

    Survivors include a daughter, Lynn Morgan, Louisville.

    Mass of Christian Burial was 11:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Manton, followed by interment in the church cemetery. The Rev. Chris Allegra was the celebrant.

    Mattingly Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

    Paul G. “Pete” Draper Sr., 67, Bardstown, died Friday, March 2, 2012, at his residence.  He was born Aug. 25, 1944, in Washington, D.C., a retired employee of Salt River Electric, member of I.B.E.W., and Botland Christian Church, and an avid offshore fisherman and hunter.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, James F. Draper and Martha Sallee; and his stepfather, Robert “Bob” Sallee.

    Dr. John C. Bradford, Sr., 79, affectionately known as “Gaga” by his grandchildren, died peacefully Friday, March 2, 2012, at Flaget Memorial Hospital, Bardstown, surrounded by his loving family.

    Paul G. “Pete” Draper Sr., 67, Bardstown, died Friday, March 2, 2012, at his residence.

    The funeral is 11 a.m. Monday at Barlow Funeral Home. Visitation will be noon-6 p.m. Sunday and 9-11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

    Geraldine “Jerri” Newton, 82, Jeffersonville, Ind., died Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, at Clark Memorial Hospital, Jeffersonville, Ind.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Johnnie Ester Hall.

    Survivors include a daughter, Debra Sharp Jeffersonville, Ind.

    The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with interment to follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Manton. The Rev. Chris Allegra will officiate.

    Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday at Mattingly Funeral Home.

  • Iva Ray Nalley, 80

    Iva Ray Nalley, 80, Cedar Creek, died Thursday, March 1, 2012, at Flaget Memorial Hospital.  

    She was preceded in death by her parents, William Lester and Minnie Gertrude Conway White.

    Survivors include her husband, William Odell Nalley Sr.; and a son, William Odell Nalley, Jr., Cedar Creek.

    The funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Mann and Greenwell Funeral Home with burial in The First Cedar Creek Church Cemetery. Brother Tim Lucas will officiate.
