It’s been two months since a spring hailstorm wreaked havoc across Nelson County, and as summer begins, contractors and laborers are hard at work repairing the damage Mother Nature wrought.

The morning after the April 5 storm, Copper Fields was overrun by contractors looking to make money.

One of them was Eric Fuery of Best Choice Roofing in Louisville, who told the Standard he already had 25 clients signed up that day in that subdivision alone.
