Bardstown picked up its first 19th District win Thursday, as the Tigers led 5-2 going into the seventh, but Maria Young belted a grand slam to blow it wide open on the way to a 9-2 win.

Bardstown’s Hannah Riley had two doubles, two runs scored and an RBI, while Young went 2-for-4, with two runs scored and five RBIs.

Nelson County’s Stephanie Reitzloff accounted for the bulk of the Cardinals’ offense with a single, a double and two RBIs.
