Nelson County first-responders had a harrowing experience June 18 when a vehicle carrying Andrea Coulter slid off the road, somewhere near Springfield Road.

More than 150 emergency services personnel from various state and county agencies struggled to find Coulter for more than an hour, even as the 26-year-old was on the phone with Nelson County Dispatch.

Eventually, she was found by Capt. Derick Harris of the Northeast Nelson Fire Department in the Tunnel Mill Road area, near Springfield Road.
