Two new businesses could open

Downtown Bardstown may soon see a few new businesses.

In its meeting Tuesday, the Joint City-County Planning Commission approved a planned unit development to allow alcohol to be served by the drink at 111 N. Third St.

The property is owned by Merima and Dzevad Kreso, owners of Kreso’s Family Restaurant on North Third.

As of Thursday, Merima Kreso said she was not yet ready to comment on what kind of facility may occupy 111 N. Third St., inside the Crystal Building, but she said they do hope to open a pizza restaurant across the street at 120 N. Third.
