Three escape crash, fire with minor injury

A driver and two passengers escaped an early morning collision on the Bluegrass Parkway Sunday with only minor injuries.

According to a press release from the Nelson County Sheriff's Office, dispatch was advised of an injury accident around the 13 mile marker at around 4:36 a.m.

An investigation determined the vehicle was westbound when it over corrected to miss a deer, overturned and caught fire.

All three occupants escaped the vehicle and were transported to the hospital for minor injuries.

According to the release, speed was determined to be a factor in the crash.

Boston firefighters assisted at the scene.
