Suit brings to light well known problem

News last week from Louisville about a distillery-related suit filed in federal court came as no surprise to Nelson County residents who live within sight of a whiskey warehouse.

For generations, folks have been complaining about the “black soot” deposited on almost any surface exposed to the open air. Subdivisions such as Edgewood, situated between two fields of warehouses, have borne a particularly heavy hit of the material.
