Strange joins Smith & Company CPA

Smith & Company CPA’s, PLLC recently announced the addition of Jason O. Strange, CPA, as a partner. Strange has more than nine years of experience in auditing and accounting and will bring his skills and background to Smith & Company CPA’s, PLLC to assist in auditing and assurance, tax, and business consulting services for existing and future clients.

His areas of expertise include auditing and accounting for non-public companies, state and local governments, not-for-profit organizations, and employee benefit plans.

Strange, a graduate of Bardstown High School, received his Master’s degree in accounting from the University of Kentucky and passed his CPA exam thereafter. He began his career in accounting with the U.S. Government Accountability Office (Washington D.C.) and returned to Kentucky in 2005 where he has worked with regional CPA firm, Blue & Co., LLC (Lexington), since that time. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Kentucky Society of Certified Public Accountants, Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Government Accountants, and the Kentucky Association of Government Accountants. He serves on the Finance Committee for CASA Project of the Bluegrass. Strange and his wife, Ashley (Bleemel) reside in Bardstown with their two sons, Thomas and Joseph. They are parishioners of St. Joseph Church.
