The Rev. Ivo Edward Cecil, 85, died Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Elizabethtown. Born March 11, 1926, in Nelson County, he attended Bethlehem Academy and St. Joe Prep where he was named to the Hall of Fame. He was a World War II Navy veteran, a Kentucky Colonel, a member of the Knights of Columbus and was ordained a Catholic priest on May 8, 1954. He was a 1975 graduate of Spalding College and received a Masters of Divinity from St. Meinrad School of Theology in 1978. His assignments included St. Gregory, St. Thomas More, Cathedral of the Assumption, St.
